Description

A deliciously indulgent dessert combining a buttery Biscoff biscuit base, rich homemade caramel, and a smooth chocolate topping, finished with a drizzle of Biscoff spread.


Ingredients

  • 500g (17.6 oz) Biscoff biscuits
  • 185g (6.5 oz) unsalted butter, melted
  • 200g (7 oz) unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp caster sugar
  • 4 tbsp golden syrup
  • 397g (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 250g (8.8 oz) milk chocolate, chopped
  • 200g (7 oz) Biscoff spread
  • Biscoff crumbs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Line an 8×8 inch (20×20 cm) square tin with parchment paper.
  3. Crush Biscoff biscuits into fine crumbs, mix with melted butter.
  4. Press into the base of the tin and bake for 10–12 minutes. Cool completely.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter, caster sugar, and golden syrup.
  6. Stir in condensed milk and bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly.
  7. Cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and thick.
  8. Pour over the cooled base, spread evenly, and let set.
  9. Melt the milk chocolate until smooth.
  10. Pour over the set caramel layer and smooth the top.
  11. Warm Biscoff spread until pourable. Drizzle decoratively over the chocolate.
  12. Sprinkle with crushed Biscoff for added crunch.
  13. Chill for 2 hours or until fully set.
  14. Use the parchment to lift out, then cut into bars or squares.

Notes

  • Ensure the caramel is cooked until thick for the best texture.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
