Ingredients

- 1 pound medium or small pasta shells
- 1 pound imitation crab meat
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 cup shredded carrot (optional)
- 2 1/2 cups mayonnaise (Best Foods / Hellmann’s recommended)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- Fresh dill (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and let cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooled pasta, imitation crab meat, chopped celery, and shredded carrot (if using).
- In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, milk, sugar, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and toss gently to combine.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh dill if desired before serving.
Notes
- This salad can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
- Feel free to add other ingredients like bell peppers or green onions for extra crunch.
- Adjust the amount of mayonnaise based on your preference for creaminess.
